God's Seed

31He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. 32Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.” (Matthew 13:31-32)

Thoughts: The kingdom of God cannot be measured by height, length, weight, or breadth.  The work of God starts small.  No one on the surface thinks a tiny seed will turn into a huge tree that will hold birds.  No one would have expected 12 disciples to turn into two billion followers today.  This is God's design and God's miracle.  Faith may also start small in our hearts, but it ends up bearing much fruit.

Prayer: Lord, let me value the power of your small seed in my heart and in the world.
