Old and New teachings

51“Have you understood all these things?” Jesus asked.

“Yes,” they replied.

52He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.” (Matthew 13:51-52)

Thoughts: It is good when the teachers of the law also start teaching Jesus' words. There are treasures in both the Old and New Testaments, and being able to bring nuggets of truth from both is a double blessing.  We should see truth in both Old and New Testaments. 

Prayer: Lord, let me be a student of both Old and New Testaments.  Give me grace to be a student and share your treasure.
