Q. 7-What are the plans of God?
A- The plans of God are, his eternal purposes based on His will, which for His own glory, He foreordains everything that happens.
(Crown and scepter)
Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed. 28 They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen. (Acts 4:27.28)
The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD. (Prov. 16:33)
Jesus answered [Pilate], “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above." (John 19:11)
Thoughts: God's presence is all-encompassing. He has created all that is, and His plan also covers all. No one can thwart or stop God's plan. Yet there is a freedom and spontaneity stemming from the soul. But this freedom is somehow limited, directed and surrounded by God. In God's providence, we are given freedom but He leads, guides, corrects and protects us as free beings-- but in such a way that His purposes are achieved.
Prayer: Lord, you have given freedom but also direction and purpose. You have a plan for creation and each one. Help me to trust in our plan and have hope.
