33Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”e 34Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.
Thoughts: We are the people of hope- the people of faith- the people of the resurrection. We are called to live in this hope- and not "eat drink for tomorrow we may die." Rather we are to have a value for the long haul- eternity. But Paul has this brief parenthesis to say that the bad can corrupt the good. One bad apple can spoil the whole bunch. Obviously there were some people in the Corinthians church who did not know about God and were not being taught. It is easier to pull someone down than to bring someone up. Yet, God can do all things.
Prayer: Lord, let my fellowship be encouraging. Yet let me balance this with reaching out to others.
