4/26/13- Trading love for luxury

Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away. If one were to give all the wealth of one’s house for love, it would be utterly scorned. (Song of Solomon 8:7)

You wake up in your luxury bed and slide out of your luxury sheets and get in your luxury shower and use your luxury towels...and your luxury car makes them all seem not so luxurious.  So the Accra rlx commercial says.  The sad thing is what's missing? No kids. No wife. No hello to anyone.  It seems very cold and lonely to me.  Is that what the American dream has come down to- seeking luxury without people?  Love is missing.  I would trade all the cold temporary luxury in the world for love.

Prayer: Lord, let me never trade your love, or love for neighbor for more stuff.
