24This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.
25Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. (John 21:24,25)
Thoughts: The end of this book tells us much about the book and about our Lord. John identifies himself as "the disciple whom Jesus loved... this disciple." (vs. 20 and 24). John witnesses to what he saw as an eyewitness and writes them down for future generations to know.
We also find that Jesus' actions were not limited to this or the other three cannonized Gospels. He was very busy in his three years of ministry. Perhaps we get a clue that John knew it was time for him to end this writing.

Prayer: Thank you Lord, for this Gospel that wrote down what you did.
