3/25- Declaring God’s Glory with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance- Psalm 46:1-3,10

3/25- Declaring God’s Glory with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance- Psalm 46:1-3,10

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”

Thoughts: In the midst of the mountains falling into the heart of the sea and the waters roaring and foaming, God is our refuge and strength.  It is in times of disaster that we realize that God si there for us.
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance has as its motto: "Out of Chaos Hope."  Christians go into places of disaster to help a neighbor in need.  God cares for those who are hurting, and asks us to care as well.

Prayer: May we declare your glory by helping those who have faced disaster.
