5Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. (Col. 4:5,6)
Thoughts: Paul wanted to make sure the church was sensitve to those who were outside the church. In some circles they talk about the Un-churched or De-churched. But in Paul's day most were unchurched. He had a message of hope to give him. Our conversation is to be full of grace- seasoned with salt. This means we are to be flavorful and meaningful- as a light shining in darkness, or a little salt that makes the whole dish taste better.
Lord, Help me to be full of grace and a good witness for you.
