5because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. (1 Thess. 1)
Thoughts: The good news of hope and love helps us overcome our sins and our despair. The Gospel does not come by argument. We cannot argue someone into the kingdom. Rather it comes by a gift of the Spirit who regenerates our heart.
Thoughts: Spirit, convict me of my sin that I may live for you.
