13And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe. (1 Thessalonians 2)
Thoughts: It takes faith to believe that it is possible for God to communicate with us. The Gospel boiled down is just that. God cares for us and has tried to make contact with us. The Scriptures is not just a human book, but has been a tried and proven means that God has used to communicate to us. When we call Scripture "God's Word to us" we mean that God lets us know His will and can guide and help us.
Prayer: Help me, O Lord, to believe in you and your word.
