Walk as Jesus Walked

Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did. (1 John 2:6 TLT)


Thoughts: To learn Jesus means to learn to live as Jesus did.  To know Jesus means to have such a relationship that you would know what He would say or do and be confident in that knowledge.  It is the skeptic who says this is impossible.  But the believer believes it is not only possible to follow Jesus but to know His path and to believe His teachings in the Gospels.  To believe in Jesus means in some sense to trust in the testimony of the eyewitnesses and Gospel writers of the New Testament.  If we cannot trust the eyewitnesses, would we rather trust modern skeptical scholars who write 2,000 years later?  Christians are called to  be Christ followers- to follow His teachings about love and grace- but also follow His example of turning the other cheek, patience, and humility among other things.  There is always room to learn more and to grow in faith.  As we follow Christ, we grow in our knowledge of Him along His path.
