Onesiphorus' Search

 17On the contrary, when he was in Rome, he searched hard for me until he found me.  (2 Timothy 1:17)

Thoughts: Rome was the largest city in the world.  Onesiphorus did not know where Paul was.  He was just a prisoner among thousands of prisoners.  He just wandered around and around until he found Paul.  Then he sought to encourage Paul and serve him.  He had to persevere.  He had to keep on trying and failing until he found his mentor and friend.  

Prayer: Lord, help me persevere to encourage the downtrodden and hurting.
