The Song

12all the Levitical singers— Asaph,Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and relatives—stood on the east side of the altar, dressed in fine linen and playing cymbals, harps, and lyres,accompanied by 120priests sounding trumpets.13The trumpeters and singers joined together to praise and thank the LORD with one voice. They raised their voices, accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and musical instruments, in praise to the LORD: “For He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.” Then the temple, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud… (2 Chronicles 5) 

Thoughts: Singing is important.  Singers, song leaders are important (they are listed here by name).  But the song goes on- the song of praise- "He is good- His love endures forever." If you believe God is good and loving- it will well up inside of you a song.  Each week you are invited to join the everlasting song.  When the singing started (not preaching), the Spirit filled the place that a visible cloud rested on the Temple so that the priests couldn't even see.   

Prayer: Lord, put a song in my heart and on my lips.  May your love endure forever in me!
