Thoughts: We shall be witnesses, Jesus said. There is no maybe about it. Let our witness not be complaining or griping. Rather with great hubris let us not demand the rights we perhaps should have. Let us turn the cheek with Christ.
A survey by Lifeway found that now a majority of Americans believe Christians are losing their religious liberty. But the same survey found that Christians are seen as complainers or whiners. This is a bad reaction to bad news. Our hope is not in the government, but in Christ.
We should be witnesses all over too.- not just locally. Part of being Christian means being called beyond ourselves. Let our witness honor God everywhere.
Prayer: Lord, give me grace to be a good witness for you.
