Servant of Christ

1 Corinthians 4:1-2 This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed. Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. 

Thoughts: Paul did not want to be known as someone magnificent, but as simp,y a servant.  A servant is trusted and is to be faithful.  We too should only make claim to the title "servant."  We are called to be Christ's obedient and faithful servant- and not see that as demeaning but as fulfilling.  To be a servant of the true King is to be on the right and winning side.

Prayer: Lord, help me to be your willing servant.
