Keeping Hope

8We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.  (2 Corinthians 4:8-10)

Thoughts: Sometimes life is tough.  Maybe it is tough from sickness or pain; but maybe it is hard because we are facing injustice or even persecution.  When life gets tough, these are great verses to remember.  As we survive, we survive without despair. God does not abandon us.  We suffer as Christ suffered.  We do not need to think we have done something wrong- just because we suffer in life.  Jesus was the most perfect man, and He suffered.  But in our weakness, Christ's power becomes apparent and evident.  Paul never lost his hope, and we shouldn't either.

Prayer: Lord, when the hard times come, keep me in your care.  Keep me from giving up hope.
