Our True Home

6Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. (2 Corinthians 5:6)

Thoughts: Paul was always confident.  His faith in his hope made him have confidence and boldness.  Paul knew and was certain that as long as he was comfortable here he was uncomfortable in heaven.   The whole world will tell you to settle in and be comfortable.  But God would remind us that His peace is not the peace of the grave, but the peace of heaven.
So what are you investing your time, your energy, your money, yourself in?  Do you invest in your comfort or in the Kingdom to come?   It is not the new mattress, the new furniture, the new car, the new house that will satisfy your greatest need.  Christ is your hearts true home.

Prayer: Lord, make me confident in you.  Help me to not want more of the world, but to want more of you.
