3/27- Declaring God’s Glory with GoODworks- Galatians
6:9-10
9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. (Gal. 6:9-10)
Thoughts: In our busy time, we are so weary from doing so many things to really entertain ourselves and find comfort- that we have little energy for doing good. When we are wounded and hurt, it is hard to help others or think beyond ourselves. But when we begin to see that we are not put here for our own comfort or for our children's comfort and happiness, we begin to see that we are called to help the hungry, the stranger, the ones in need. The passage above infers that God blesses those who do good to others.
GOoDWorks is a great organization that works with churches and individuals to help those in need with food, housing, and a helping hand. If such organizations popped up everywhere the world is made a better place one family, one person at a time.
Prayer: Lord, give me opportunity to do good, and then give the strength, will and resources to do it.
